As a member of an integrated project team (IPT) working closely with other engineering staff you will develop embedded Linux platforms for the TASE imaging systems and Piccolo autopilot products, and support other software applications reaching from the user experience to the production and test environment. Responsibilities:
Produce and maintain embedded Linux platforms that meet customer and production needs. Peer technical assessments in areas of expertise, new technologies and software design. Software implementation in C, C++, Python and Bash as appropriate. Understanding GUI control design coupled with real-time systems. User-centric design. Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required US Citizenship Required Experience with C, C++, MS Visual Studio, GNU tools (gcc, gdb, etc.), and embedded systems software development Experience with Linux, Qt, PC-lint, SVN and Git Experience using Buildroot and working with U-Boot, Device tree, and the Linux kernel for embedded file systems Experience with Xilinx or other FPGA integration Experience with debugging embedded and desktop software Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems in order to provide enhancements within job area Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with platform bring up and maintenance Familiarity with common communications protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB) Experience with TCP/IP and UDP protocols Experience with multi-threading (Windows and Linux) Experience with software development targeted for ARM, MPC 555 or 565
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
