You may be scheduled to work anytime the store is open.
You'll work at one store location.
The pay for this position is commensurate to your experience and location.
What you'll do You'll make sure that customers have access to the merchandise they are looking for by organizing product displays and storage.
Unload pallets of freight using an electric or manual pallet jack.
Freight is received two-three times per week and the task takes approximately 5-6 hours per freight day.
Worker will deliver pallets to designated areas in the store; spread boxes onto the floor where the merchandise is located (called down stacking); open boxes using a box knife and begin stocking the product.
Worker will rotate existing products as well as facing products.
Worker will break down cardboard as they stock and place the cardboard on a cart and bale it in the back room using the cardboard baler.
This task is completed by placing cardboard in the baler, the lid is closed and a button is pushed to compact the cardboard.
Worker will use a forklift to break down pallets from freight; load and slot excess merchandise onto the shelves; and remove merchandise as needed from the shelves in the back room.
Greet and assist customers when asked.
Answer phones as needed.
One day per week, Worker will change price tags by locating item on shelves, pull off old tag by hand or use a tag remover and replace with a new tag.
Build display ends for advertised sale products.
Reset shelves as products change; move merchandise around as needed.
Keep the store and back room organized.
Perform clean up as needed including sweeping the floor using a broom.
Use a computer located in the back room for looking up invoices or information regarding freight.
Change the bale on cardboard baler by releasing the door latch, opening door and tying wires.
The baler will eject bale onto a pallet jack.
Worker will re-tie the wires and deliver the pallets outside to a designated area using a pallet jack.
This task is completed one-two times per day.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
