Do you love the smell of fermenting grapes and the sound of pumps whirring? Do you have a strong back and a sense of humor? If so, then this position may be for you! Cathedral Ridge Winery (Hood River, OR) is looking for a new team member to join our cellar/production crew for the 2023 vintage.
This person will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of winemaking during the harvest season.
This includes tasks such as vineyard sampling, fruit sorting, crushing, pressing, fermentation management, barrel work, and sanitation.
The intern will also have the opportunity to learn about the winemaking process from the ground up, and to gain experience working in a winery environment.
As a Harvest Employee, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
o Cleaning and sanitizing tanks and equipment o Racking and blending wine o Moving barrels and kegs o Performing other tasks as assigned o Assist with vineyard sampling and fruit sorting o Operate crush equipment o Perform punch downs and pump overs o Monitor fermentations o Transfer wine and juice o Perform barrel work o Clean and sanitize winery equipment o Complete other tasks as assigned

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
