Registered Radiology Technologist

Providence is calling a Registered Radiology Technologist (0.0 FTE, Rotating/Variable) to Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital in Hood River, OR.
In this position, you will:
Perform imaging examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated imaging equipment, taking into account individual patient's special or age-related needs.
Utilize knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging factors, radiation dose calibration of technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal high quality images.
Perform all examinations with minimal radiation exposure to patient and operator with ALARA awareness.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (R) certification
Current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) as a Registered Technologist, Radiography (RTR)
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) certification
Completion of pledge to Image Gently/Image Wisely within 1 month of hire
Computer skills and knowledge of keyboard functionality
Ability to read, write and speak English
Expert knowledge of anatomy and physiology, imaging principles and practices, as well as the ability to obtain high-quality images
Adherence to appropriate professional credentialing practice standards
