Ultrasound Technologist

Providence is calling an Ultrasound Technologist to Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital in Hood River, Oregon. This is an on call, variable shift position.
In this position, you will:
Perform ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated ultrasound equipment, taking into account the individual patient's special or age-related needs.
Perform all duties in a manner, which promotes team concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification (New graduates must be board eligible and obtain permanent certification within 6 months of hire)
Current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) as a Medical Sonographer (New graduates must have OBMI temporary license upon hire and obtain permanent license within 6 months)
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) certification for Healthcare Provider
Completion of pledge to Image Gently/Image Wisely within 1 month of hire
Adherence to appropriate professional credentialing practice standards
Expert knowledge of anatomy and physiology, imaging principles and practices, as well as the ability to obtain high-quality images
Computer skills and knowledge of keyboard functionality
Ability to read, write and speak English
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
2 years of clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
